Adam Tomlinson, PsyD

Clinical Psychologist

Adam Tomlinson grew up in Arkansas and earned his Bachelor of Psychology degree from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas in 2006. He attended graduate school from 2006 to 2011 at The School of Professional Psychology at Forest Institute in Springfield, Missouri, earning both his Master of Arts and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology.

Dr. Tomlinson commissioned in the US Navy as a Lieutenant in 2012 and reported for duty at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia in 2012. Upon completion of this Fellowship year Dr. Tomlinson was assigned to the Marine Raider Regiment, Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC).

From 2013 to 2017 Dr. Tomlinson provided clinical psychology and consultative support to various aspects of the Marine Raider Regiment. He deployed multiple times throughout the Middle East in support of the Global War on Terrorism.

Dr. Tomlinson deployed in support of the Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa from 2017 to 2018 and served as the Clinical Psychology Department Head for Camp Lemmonier throughout that deployment.

In 2018 Dr. Tomlinson was again assigned to MARSOC. In these orders he served as Department Head of Behavioral Sciences at the Marine Raider Training Center. He coordinated and oversaw all psychological assessments throughout the command including special operator, direct support personnel, and high- risk training instructors.

Dr. Tomlinson left active-duty service in 2020 and has served as a contracted psychologist supporting first the Defense Intelligence Agency and then the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. He and his family live in Warrenton Virginia.
