Jennifer Hurd, Ph.D.
Organizational Psychologist, Executive Coach
Dr. Jennifer Hurd is an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist with over 20 years of experience in both the private and public sectors, including 15 years as an Organizational Psychologist at a federal law enforcement agency. She has specific expertise in organizational development, leadership development, executive assessment and coaching, and developing, validating and implementing selection systems for technical, tactical, and high-risk professions.
Dr. Hurd has authored numerous publications and presentations in organizational change management and the selection of elite mission-critical positions, including enhanced tactical teams and the associated assets, e.g., pilots, medics. She has led numerous applied organizational research initiatives, and has served as a subject matter expert in support of employment law litigation. As a scientist-practitioner, she develops tailored workshops for intact leadership teams; implements organizational surveys to inform leadership decision-making and organizational development initiatives; and provides leadership coaching to leaders at all levels.
Dr. Hurd received her M.S. in Human Factors and Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Wright State University, her Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Akron, and holds a certification in professional coaching from the International Coach Federation (ICF). She is an adjunct instructor to the US Special Operations Command Personnel Selection Course.
