Clinical Psychologist

Lloyd Davis, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 23 years of military experience as an enlisted Marine and Naval officer serving primarily in medical and psychological leadership positions around the world.

His professional background is diverse with positions in the US Navy as the Command Force Psychologist establishing mental health policy and clinical practice guidelines, as well as serving as the Medical Director of Joint Forces dental, medical, mental health, and preventative medicine clinics in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. He has led internationally staffed disaster-response missions in Third World countries and has served as the senior supervising psychologist for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Currently, he works for the U.S. Department of State leading a multidisciplinary group of health professionals.

He possesses clinical expertise in the psychological evaluation and treatment of anxiety and depressive disorders and the selection of personnel in high-risk and high-reliability occupations. He has also designed and led resilience programming for individuals serving in high-stress work environments including the use of biofeedback technologies.

Dr. Davis earned his doctorate from the California School of Professional Psychology with an emphasis in organizational behavior and health psychology. After licensure, he worked overseas for five years, completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School, and served as faculty for the Naval Medical Center, San Diego, and for The Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston.
